Screen zooms out to focus on a small office. There are two fully bandaged human figures in the office.

David: ... We have analyzed the competitors, we checked our facts, we examined your votes. All is set to go. Pretty much everything is good to go now that this Death Battle is out.

Remi: But due to certain circumstances we're injured... So if you'd like to make another donation to us two please do~ This magnificent vampire here awaits, and whoever's the hundredth visitor might get a night in bed with a vampire~

David: ... Let's just focus on the Death Battle... You might be new but it's better not to cause a scandal.

Remi: I'm kidding geez. But seriously everyone, don't give Nineball coffee.

David: ONTO THE DEATH BATTLE!

...

InFamous - Cole MacGrath

The Beast was defeated. It was done. The RFI was used and Cole had saved not just New Marais or the US, but the whole world. The Ray Field plague is gone too. From this point on, he's now just a local famous hero... or a a terrorist. Well it really depends on what one would think of a person. On one side, he's a hero that saved many lives. To the lesser popular side, he's a villain that is out to destroy the world. Slowly, his role as a hero is being revealed bit by bite for every heroic deed he does.

But it was still such a hassle to deal with the military. Having to deal with governments wanting to experiment his body by capturing him. Wanting to offer him a deal only it turns out to be a backstab and he has to get out and go back home from another country. Such a hassle. He was even tricked to go to a city that was filled with infected beings that made him think of a mass scale infection and end up fighting some monstrous shapeshifter. Twice. Then there was that time aliens invaded New Marais, to be honest it was too absurd. Oh and that clone incident. Ah God. It hurt his mind thinking about it.

Cole MacGrath needed a break. A vacation. To stop working all the time and take a break. The cops at New Marais have worked together with the rebels and were now a firm resistance in there. So they should be able to quench what possible threat that might attack. So at Zeke's offer, here they were now, near the Santa Monica Pier Amusement Park. But he's not feeling it at all. A gnawing feeling made him worry that this was not the best decision. He could not enjoy himself at all in this vacation. Even when he could see the Pier from afar. Even with the prize he won, a keyblade of some sort. Nothing about this city cheered him up...

Actually, it almost seemed like the city was void of civilians. Where was all the people?

Hm? His phone was ringing.

"Cole?" The familiar voice of his best friend spoke. "You there?"

"Zeke? What's up?"
"Umm, just a fair warning. There's an organization looking for you."
"... Crap."
"Well listen brother. I don't know how they found you but they're dangerous, you have to- oh damn! Here they come. Gotta go!"
"Wait, Zeke?"

The connection was cut off in a moment. After that his friend was gone. Hopefully alive. Gritting his teeth Cole stepped away from the railing. What is up with the government and hunting down superpowered heroes like him? This isn't karma at all.

"Kessler?" At that very voice Cole turned around immediately. With one arm raised and filled with electricity, he was ready to fry the speaker on the spot. The very name itself wanting him to spit in disgust. Only for those emotions to vanish when he spotted the source.

It was of a little girl. Couldn't be older than a middle school student. Looked odd, could be Asian from his vantage point. Light brown hair, neat looking uniform. A person that shouldn't be saying that word. How would she know that name? "Oh, no. It isn't you after all."

"Who are you?" Cole could only ask. Whoever this girl is.. what is her connection to Kessler? No wait. Is she part of the government Zeke was talking about? Is she another experiment of theirs? Whoever this is, he had to be wary. If that's the case then the governments know about Kessler then.

"Your daughter," the Prime Conduit almost face faulted to the ground. "I'm joking. But really, so you're him? His present version I mean."

"Kid, I don't know who you are," Cole got up having recovered from the shock of the joke. Only then did he realize that the girl's electric signature was turning from an unnoticeable color, into a reddish tint. A hostile? She's a kid though. Is she another shapeshifter? Please no more of those... "But whoever you are, if you're planning to fight me you better get that out of your mind. I'm a bit tired of teenagers."

"Don't call me a kid!" The brunette exclaimed angrily. "But planning to fight you?"

...

"Well, I rather not, since I can take you without hurting you as long as you follow us."

Misaka Mikoto, the 3rd strongest Level 5 esper said with pure confidence. It was her job as Academy City's top class esper to talk to the Level 5 level American gemstone, or esper. She wasn't exactly sure who this person other than the fact that she has to talk to him. To persuade him to join Academy City and let his body be studied due to his strange powers. She was sent here due to her best compatibility on fighting this grown man. And she could see his power. Electricity flowed throughout his body. It was strange and dangerous as electricity in there would normally kill a person if they don't manage it prpoerly. Espers are usually supposed to manipulate things externally. Then again, he might be a different esper...

It is odd however. Usually the Level 5s are around her age. Was this the oldest one there is or only one in the West? And what a normal appearance. Bald, tall, and maybe a bit strong if those muscles on his raised arm were anything. If it weren't for her ability to pick out electromagnetic phenomena and that giant weapon on his back, she might have missed this guy completely. Even she had some sort of image to her and people would either flock or fear her.

Regardless, she has to bring him in. Everyone was gone, no one was even in the pier so this is the perfect-

"Oh? You're actually taking me seriously?" There was a serious look on his face just as she felt a strange feeling. As if an echo rang out the area. This man was now looking at her in a serious way.

"You're one of those types of experiments aren't you?" The bald man started off scowling. "Another child conduit? Experimenting?"

"Conduit? If that's the Western way of calling us espers then I am," Misaka let a spark loose from her hair. It dissipated harmlessly into the air. "But of course, as the 3rd Level 5, I have developed my powers from Level 0."

"Uh-huh," he seemed to spark his arms in return. "So I guess you're really going to attack me if I don't come peacefully?"

"I'd like to use the term take down," Misaka informed letting a few more sparks. "Since the people are already being evacuated, I'm free to let loose here.

"You're not going to let me go then," that was a statement. Not a question.

"Nope."

"Well, I don't usually beat up little kids."

"I'm not a kid! My name is Misaka Mikoto!"

"Oh well nice to meet you then. The name is Cole MacGrath. Now please get out of my way."

"No."

"... Well, sorry for what I'm about to do."

"I could say the same."

There was nothing else said. Both of them stared at each other in the eyes coldly. Electricity throughout their bodies sparked as if to intimidate the other. Neither would waver. The hero of New Marais versus the ace of Tokiwadai. Who would win this Death Battle? Almost as if the world itself was to will it, a distant lightning bolt started the match.

FIGHT

To aru majutsu - Psychic Battle

Cole shot first. Firing a couple of white bolts, each one hit point on. And only made Misaka blink when they hit. No visible damage at all.

'It didn't work?' That single thought was all Cole had before the girl shouted and a small lightning bolt shot off her hair. Sparking in such an intimidating manner and moving fast, it would've invoked fear to anyone and knock them out in a second. It struck Cole, the conduit still surprised by his failed attack. But the conduit only stumbled back, also unharmed.

An awkward silence between the two has formed.

"Of course, he's an electromaster/conduit too. It wouldn't be as effective.." Both of them said to themselves.

After that short awkward moment, Cole swung his arm forward tossing a white orb. A bit cautious by the attack yet aware that electricity couldn't hurt her, Misaka caught it a bit confused. It was small white orb glowing. And it stuck onto her arm. It wouldn't let go at all.

"Huh? What is th-" Then it exploded with a bright flash. The kinetic force knocked her up and down to the ground. The force wasn't too much, if anything she was barely even harmed. Was it weak? Or did the man control the force of the grenade? Letting a quick grunt, Misaka tried to get up, only to realize she couldn't. "H-hey!?"

Leashes made of electricity now wrap around her legs and wrists. Try as she might, she couldn't pull herself free from these restraints. Well physically at least.

"Alright little girl, just leave me and I'll be-oh.." Misaka had a faint smile as she got up, enjoying the surprised look on Cole's face. She had just redirected the electric bonds away.

"Don't call me..." Her body became something more like a bug zapper. Electrocuting anything nearby. Then she swung her arm forward. "A little girl!"

Numerous bolts of electricity shot out of her body and towards Cole. Only for him to charge in forward and forming a bright shield with one raised arm. Each time a bolt struck the shield, it was either absorbed by it, or reflected away. Misaka's surprise made her attack cease, and her opponent closed in pulling out the metal weapon from his back. When he swung it down at her, his shield vanished.

Shame it was a metal weapon.

"What the-?" Cole could only look in surprise. The Amp wouldn't move. Attempt to push it forward was stopped by a stronger force. But the girl was clearly doing nothing. Unless.. "Magnetism?"

Misaka's grin answered that question. Then she punched forward summoning a few bolts of electricity. Each one hit Cole and knocked him away.

The conduit crashed to the end of the bridge but rolled back on his feet. He would have fallen if it weren't for the railings of the bridge. That, could've been a problem.

'This isn't a good spot, better move onto a better place,' Cole thought as he lobbed a shock grenade at Misaka. As the girl wisely redirected it, he ran to the sides and leapt off the bridge. Straight into the wires that were conveniently placed there. Recovering the few energy he used up, he began to boost forward quickly moving from the middle of the long bridge towards the mainland. It only took him a minute or less to reach the place. He was hoping he left the girl behind but probably not.

Leaping off he landed onto the streets and turned to the nearest electric source. A nearby TV Store. Better keep close to it just to make sure he has the energy to fight her. Then again maybe he could just absorb the energy from the girl. The nearby cars would also be helpful as energy sources or projectiles. Hm?

"Huh, Jojos and Venture bros," that was Cole's last thought before something sailed over his head.

Landing a good dozen meters away, Misaka turned to Cole with a smile. "You already running away?"

"Just need a better spot," Cole answered taking note of the sparks and wind around Misaka. What happened next, made him step back.

Black sand began to swirl around her and amass into her open hands. In a few seconds, she formed a nice sword made of whatever material she had just magnetized. And it was buzzing. Like a chainsaw. Cole was partially impressed. Well time to match that with his own. The girl can't possibly survive being electrocuted with a gigawatt's worth of electricity. So, with a swing to his sides, bright electricity amassed into a physical form and remained like that. The gigawatt blades were ready.

A brief moment of sizing up the enemy. Then they lunge for each other with weapons raised.

Misaka swung her sword forward, making Cole step back. Only for him to lunge with the intent of stabbing the gigawatt claws. Misaka attempted to swing her iron sword again, but was halted by a claw made of electricity to the chest. The claw seemed to have exploded stunning her with a flash of light, but she continued her swing and nicked Cole's arm.

"Gah! What the!?"
"Electromasters are immune to lightning."

Misaka simply said with another swing. Cole was hit again. This time she drew blood. This was the best way to deal with him. Use physical attacks and not electricity. Misaka swung again, only to be surprised when Cole lunge forward in an attempt to punch her. She ducked and managed to get a good hit on his leg, but he delivered a knee to her stomach. Gasping, the sudden pain caused her control on the sand to disappear. The conduit wasn't fazed by his wounds?

"Gh!" Stumbling back, Misaka pushed herself away with a magnetically enhanced jump. Just in time to avoid a punch aimed for her head. Landing a good distance she scowled at Cole. "Okay, his strength is definitely not normal. He can survive getting cut with only those light bruises? Amplified by magnetism maybe?" And he seemed to be better close up. So she'll need to take him seriously and avoid close up battles. Or use more sand.

"That chainsword's a pain," Cole gazed back at his wounds. Light damage and he could recover from even without draining. But that was still a threat. Getting careless might actually make him lose. He needed to take her seriously since she did survive that grenade. "And she could survive the claws.. Alright, let's rely on the blasts for that."

Cole formed the claws again and Misaka created the iron sand. Only this time, the sword looked longer. When Cole lunged, she swung the sand sideways and to the conduit's surprise, the sword extended and was easily going to reach him. Till he sent out a shockwave that split the attack into two. Misaka's surprise didn't last long and she jumped back to avoid a slash. And then another. She swung her iron sand forward only for it to clash against the gigawatt claws.

Cole would've swung the claws again if it weren't for Misaka magnet leaping again and landing on top of a nearby lamppost. Cole only approached a nearby car still looking at his opponent warily. As an energy source, the car would have to do. But the girl... was she-oh? Sand was gathering, and it was beginning to.. surround him? Grunting, Cole formed a large swirling orb in front of him.

Misaka raised her hand and opened it. With a gesture that seemed like it's grabbing forward, the iron sand followed and completely surrounded Cole and it converged. The chainsaw like sand should've shredded but at least leave the conduit breathing. Key words 'It should have'. Instead, a shockwave blasted away the sand making her lose control of it. "What?"

What the sand revealed was Cole unharmed. And he was beginning to lift the nearby car.

"Special delivery!"  Cole's shouted and tossed the car forward with a shockwave straight towards Misaka. The esper only had to leap off the lamppost to dodge the vehicle. Only to see Cole picking up another one. This time, instead of dodging she swung one arm forward. A second before it reached her, the vehicle stopped moving.

She almost didn't saw the two bright orbs that were heading for her. Instead of redirecting them, she used the vehicles to block the grenades making them bounce off. Surprisingly they began bouncing back and around the car forcing her to jump away before they exploded. She succeeded. But when the dust cleared, Cole was gone. Looking around, there was no way he could've gone anywhere. Not even upwards. There were no alleys and the closest place he was in was that... pizzaria..

Misaka slowly approached it. The entrance that was locked earlier when she passed by was now fried open. The conduit had entered the place. Cautiously she entered the dusty pizzaria. It was a dark environment with a few lights, but letting her powers light up the place allowed her to see better.

FNAF - Title Theme Darkness Music

Her radar worked but she couldn't sense anything out of the ordinary. Cole had clearly come through here. Yet there was nothing. Walking through the hallways she stopped right in front of an arcade machine. It showed a classic shoot em up game with a strange megaphone as a weapon. And an animatronic beside the arcade. A very strange looking half black half white bear with red eyes.

"Oh.. How creepy.. And this is for kids?"

It smelled disgusting too. How was this place still open? It looked famous when she passed by it earlier. Don't judge a book by the cover huh.

Due to her focus on the machine, she didn't see the man at the end of the corridor. Only when Cole lobbed a pair of shock grenades did she turn to him. Each orb split into a cluster of grenades closing in on her just as she raised her arm to react. There was no way she could redirect all of them.

The electric grenades exploded with a bang filling the corridor with its blasts. Cole grinned from the end of the hallway glad to see his attack hitting, only for that to vanish. There was a now a broken arcade machine floating in the middle of the hallway. A last minute defense was used.

Misaka moved it at the side peeking at where Cole was. He was gone now. "Too close.. But as long as I have metals I should be fine on the defense... Wait, these animatronics.."

And it's that echo-like feeling again.

...

Cole drained a nearby arcade machine replenishing the energy he lost. That was almost successful but from this point on he'll need to get close or use his more powerful attacks. Sending out a radar pulse he sensed that the girl was still on the same spot. And now she was moving and-

"SKREEEEEE"

To aru majutsu - Time Limit

Turning around swiftly, Cole readied to shoot with lightning, only to end up being tackled into a wall. Recovering, he punched forward striking his attacker. The blue rabbit animatronic's head was dented but it still tried to 'bite' Cole. The conduit had to release a small burst of electricity from his arm, frying the interior machine. The rabbit soon let out a dying screech. With it 'dead' Cole pushed it away letting it fall on its back. That surprised him, but not by much.

"Okay? A robot bunny?"

Before he could even think of a reason why it would attack him he heard the sound of footsteps. Cole spun around letting out a shockwave at the source. It struck the running animatronic, a fox, but two more showed up and tackled before he even saw them. Letting out a grunt, he was 'restrained' by the two animatronics, a raptor and a black white bear. Although they were strong, Cole was going to fry these bastards for what they-

"Hey!" Cole turned to the source. Oh. It's the girl. "Do you know what a railgun is?"

Oh. Hell. No. He knew what a railgun was. But if this girl was about to do what he thinks she's planning... Yup, she pulled out a coin.

Quickly Cole released electricity outwards, enough voltage to bust cars, just as the coin was flipped. Crap, she was too far to hit with a grenade or blast

Only one option left.

Cole tossed the two broken animatronics forward with magnetism to interrupt her, and slid down. Surprised by the swift counterattack, Misaka caught the broken bots before it reached her with one arm. But due to the sudden action she missed Cole with her railgun. The conduit would've grinned as he moved from sliding to running forward. The distance between them was closing. Extending his arm out, he swung it forward to toss a sticky grenade.

Only for Misaka tossed the raptor back towards Cole, catching the sticky grenade in the process. Cole sent it back with a shockwave, Misaka tossed it back. Rinse and repeat. The little super powered game of 'hot potato' ended when the raptor blew up between them. Neither were harmed and Cole took that chance to charge in through the dust cloud that formed. Just when he got through, he saw Misaka.

"Oh.." With another railgun.

Cole activated precision to anticipate the attack and-

"Shit!" Cole threw his body to the side losing in the process. On the bright side, the railgun barely missed him. He could feel the heat from that thing and he was sure that would hurt a hell lot if it did hit. Collapsing to the wall, he managed to fire one mass of rocket. With the ten meter distance between the two he was sure she'll- or she can redirect it into a wall. Wait, redirect.

Just as Misaka fished out another coin. Cole grabbed the nearest projectile he could find and swung it forward.

It was a pizza box.

Misaka raised one arm to catch the projectile, only to realize it didn't work. She barely managed to dodge at the last second. The pizza box struck the animatronic bear behind her. Surprisingly, it exploded with quite a blast scattering burnt pizza around. Misaka stumbled forward a bit distracted by the food getting onto her.

'That's not electrokinesis?' Then she realized Cole was right in front of her. About to punch her with a glowing white orb. Misaka had to pull herself away towards a metal door to dodge the electric punch. She raised her hand just as Cole realized the Megawatt Hammer missed. A quick flick of the coin, just as Cole suddenly threw the orb forward. The railgun met the rocket, and exploded with a bright flash.

The explosion knocked both of them off their feet, with Cole crashing into an arcade machine while Misaka crashed into the room behind her. Part of the roof alongside two sections of the walls were destroyed. The one that took more damage from that attack was Cole. But then again, there was a source of electricity right beside him.

"Oof," Misaka pulled off the article of clothing that fell on her. A maid outfit with a headphones? Why was that inside a pizzaria office? No, she shouldn't care about that. Huh? Looking up, she witnessed Cole draining the arcade machine. The electricity pumping into him. 'He can charge himself with electricity? It's dangerous, but... is he healing?'

Just as Cole finished recovering he turned to Misaka. Only to see more of the same sand swirling around him. Not as much as before but still dangerous. The esper was up with an arm raised, sparking ominously. The sound of the rumbling thunder could be heard. Now through the ceiling Cole noticed that the skies have become cloudy. He knew where this was going.

"Ever been struck by lightning?"

Cole wasn't even able to taunt her back when the iron sand converged onto his position. An omnidirectional shockwave dealt with that. But as that happened, there was a bright flash and a familiar sound. He knew what that sound was. He used it before so many times. But to be on the receiving end of it? It was an entirely new experience.

A lightning bolt rained down from the sky and straight down into the Cole. It was a lightning bolt that was larger than his entire body and he took it on full force. The force of the bolt made him fall to his knees with the pure force and heat, but he attempted to drain it. To drain and recover. The heat was intense but the energy he could potentially drain. And it was working, the electricity was being absorbed into him as the lightning bolt continued.

Then he halted it, by releasing a blast of electricity outwards. The pizzaria didn't survive, and Misaka's attack was interrupted finally ending the long lightning bolt. The ceiling now collapsed on the two.

...

InFamous - Cumulonimbus

One person climbed out of the rubble pushing away a giant metal shield.

Coughing out loud due to the dust, Misaka looked around. At the last second she halted her attack and used a makeshift barrier on the last second. Still, she wasn't completely unscathed.

But her opponent was missing.

"It didn't hurt him at all? Or did he redirect it at the last second? He didn't look like he dodged it..."

Looks like that Kamijou's right hand all over again. Except for this time, they actually use powers. Well no matter. That just means she has to rely on magnetism. But where could her opponent be? If her opponent got away and is now out there somewhere, where would he be?

Getting up, she tried to look for any 'supernatural' thing. Oh? What's that orb thing?

...

All that energy gathered from that single lightning bolt was powerful. Cole knew that as he looked around the unknown city. Everywhere he looked the power was clearly out.

It was enough to take out the entire city's power grid. But Cole knew he could recharge it. That's why with the charge he got he was attempting to find the substation of this place. If he was right, the substation had to be in the Santa Monica Pier. He didn't know enough of this place and that was the closest substation he could find. He'll just have to go with that.

David: Just a note, this is not an accurate interpretation of a City.

At least he was able to receive a temporary overcharge from that lightning bolt. Short term and weak but it allowed him to easily get away from the place before the girl could recover. Oh and fly up a building. But now he needed the rest of it to power up this city. Or at least part of it.

Pulling his hand back Cole gathered the energy, and tossed it forward. The sleek blue manta-ray rocket sailed throughout the sky quickly reaching the pier. The substation there that was powering up the Ferris Wheel, was struck. Strangely the Tesla Missile didn't seem to do harm and only released electricity through it. In a bit the whole Santa Monica Pier was working again. He could see the lights glow. Not the city block he was in however. It looks like he'll have to take the battle at the pier by walking through that sand.

"Now it's time to.."

A buzzing sound increasing in volume made him trail off. Trusting his instincts Cole rolled to the side. Good thing to do, a railgun almost struck him. The elecotrmagnetized coin even left behind a trail of energy and struck the edge he was on earlier. That piece of the roof was destroyed easily. Was that esper already behind him?

"Man, I have to hurr-" then he heard the explosion again.. The girl was shooting a railgun again, only this time it wasn't aimed for him. He briefly saw a white flash down there... Did it go through the entire building? It was starting to... The entire building was starting to shake. "Holy crap.."

One look behind him showed it. Misaka was somehow standing on the side of a tall building near the end of the street. And she was readying another coin. Even though the Pizzaria was almost a block away she was already over here...

Cole didn't waste any more time. Not even caring if her opponent was aiming, he ran towards the direction of the pier, and leapt. For a moment it looked like he would fly, then gravity took over. From the height of a five storey building he fell towards the ground avoiding a railgun, and landing to the ground below. Oddly enough, the conduit was unharmed and was already running towards the pier.

Seeing her opponent flee, Misaka magnet hopped again towards Cole. Soaring over the building that was slowly falling apart, she landed in front of it readying another railgun. Then she lowered it.

"He's too far. There's no metal to use here until he gets to the pier.." a short burst of electricity was released from her hair. "But the sand however.."

Her opponent suddenly turned around and fired two rockets back at her. From the distance however, she could've easily dodged them. Well until they split up into three more rockets. The sticky rockets Misaka easily redirected just as the sands began to sift. Soon there was a mass of iron sand right in front of her. Less than the amount on the beach but good enough to be dangerous.

"Get back here!" Misaka shouted as she swung her hand forward. The iron tsunami swept forward heading straight for Cole. Even if Misaka didn't shout he would've glanced back when he heard the buzzing sound.

Cole had to say, this was pretty damn awesome. Turning back he fired a few rockets towards the wave with the intent of 'destroying' it. Didn't work out too well as the sand kept on going despite losing some so he moved to blasts. Again it didn't work, and the iron tsunami was closer. He was going to get caught at this rate.

"I guess it's time to show off,"

Just as the sand tsunami was about to reach him, Cole drew out the amp and spun around swinging it towards the wave. As he did, an electric tornado formed out of nowhere, clashing with the tsunami and scattering the sand. Now it was heading for Misaka who was already moving to the side. With that as a distraction, Cole kept on running soon reaching the pier.

"What the heck? A dual-skill?"

Although the pull from the tornado was strong, it only moved one path. Upon realizing it Misaka just had to walk around to easily avoid it. Still, it was a pretty shocking feat from an electromaster. They can't manipulate wind after all. Readying more sand just in case her opponent attacks, Misaka ran forward soon reaching the pier.

The closer she got to the ocean, the more she felt like she was being led here.
...

Upon arrival, Cole was already recharging the energy he lost from before. Draining a random arcade machine, the energy he lost was now recovered. But now he only had two ionic abilities. Well, he'll just have to use it when she's right in front of her.

"Oh?" Looking back at the arcade labelled 'Young Samurai' he found something. It was a wooden sword. A bokken. Usually this wouldn't get Cole's interest, but the amp was useless and this was a potential melee weapon. "Nice sword... I'll take it."

Upon sheathing it, he sensed his opponent appear on his imaginary radar.  Turning around Cole fired two spinning rockets towards Misaka. The girl only redirected it upwards and readied her sand sword. Not wanting to deal with that, Cole fired a bolt towards Misaka. Although the attack took her by surprise and did hit her, it dealt no damage to the student at all. Well not yet.

Suddenly Misaka's eyes widened, and her iron sand quickly swept upward as a shield. The two rockets she redirected upwards have made a return trip. Both slammed down into the shield, nearly destroying it in the process. But she was unharmed. "What the?"

The conduit only looked with annoyance at Misaka's last minute shield. "The sand.." Cole fired two more sticky rockets before running away. He'll have to bring her into the amusement park to stop her from using that. And that roller coster seemed like a fast way to bring her inside. Turning back, he tossed a stalker grenade and another sticky rocket.

"Stop running already!" Cole ignored the taunt as he jumped to the railings of the ride, and started grinding. Enhancing his speed with static thrusters, in seconds he would be on the deepest part of the amusement park. Where there would be less sand. He might be close to water but he'll make sure he doesn't fall off. "That's it."

Suddenly the railings began to shift. Cole had to slow down to regain his balance when the entire place tilted to his left. But the source of the voice was. Oh. Wall running again. Misaka was using another sand attack while moving, but this time the amount was less. All while she's lifting a couple more vending machines floating behind her. With a swing of her arms, the metal objects sailed towards Cole, and they were destroyed by arcs of electricity. Only for a sand blade to extend through the destroyed vending machines-

"Gh!" And nearly impale Cole. Instead a laceration was on his side causing him to stumble back. The sand whip stopped extending and slowly began to curve towards him, if not for him blasting with a shockwave. Firing two redirect rockets upwards, Cole leapt to another side of untouched track and he began to grind away.

Misaka grunted as she wall walked up the top of the tracks. He was grinding away again. Well, time for another railgun. Even if it misses it'll finally shatter the roller coaster. Just as she flipped the coin, the man around and fired a single bolt at the tracks she was standing on. Then she sensed the movement of two fast projectiles. Two electric rockets were heading straight for her.

Misaka had to stop her railgun and instead redirected the rockets towards the sea. Only for those orbs to slow down and start heading back. This time she chose to jump to the side with the intention of shooting both down with a railgun, only to see them crash to the spot she was earlier.

"Oh. So that's the relation between the spinning rockets and those bolts?"

She wasn't given much thought as she felt three more rockets enter her radar. With a gesture, the roller coaster began to break down, and the metal tracks rose up to block the sticky rockets. She could see Cole from afar scowling while he grinded. Misaka only swung the metal tracks towards Cole, who only kept on moving on the tracks dodging it.

Cole only fired another volley of rockets at Misaka, who redirected it and approached. He was succeeding on his mission to bring the girl deeper into the amusement park away from what sand she could use. And in here where there's power he could take her on. In this place he should be able to win even if the girl can fight well. But he had that feeling-

A strange familiar sound. A familiar sound that always irritated Cole in the past.

Being so focused on his opponent, Cole didn't notice where he was heading. Or rather, something heading for him. A rollercoaster train. It slamemd into him sending him off the railing, and towards the sea below. The impact should've killed a normal human. But it wouldn't kill Cole. The water will. A careless mistake.

"SHIT!" His static thrusters were activated but they only slowed down his descent. He was still going to end up submerged. "Damn it!"

Well, guess this was the part where he reveals his other powers. Cold energy gathered to his feet just before he made contact with the water. Then out of nowhere, a giant block of ice launched him away from the water, and into the pier. Close to a blank faced Misaka, The electromaster didn't seem to take the sight of him using ice powers too well. A sand blade was already forming on her hand, though not as large as before.

To aru majutsu - Arata naru Tatakai

"I guess that was a cool ability to see?" A shadow loomed over Cole. Looking up, he saw the giant floating train from before. "You hate puns huh."

Cole dived away just as the train was slammed through the floor, remaining on its stuck position afterwards. The sand sword extended towards Cole just when he finished his roll. It would've certainly impaled him, if not for the Polarity Wall that came up. Cole retaliated with a redirect rocket, and Misaka swung them to the floor. Crap. Did she knew the trick to it already?

Then he heard the strange sound of wood breaking. There was only one possible cause for it and Cole knew it. Turning to the train ride, Cole barely caught it with magnetism. Just as he was about to throw it back to Misaka, he felt a strange tugging on his back. Specifically where the amp was. A second after, he was sailing across the air and sent crashing into a prize booth. In the process he broke the wall and bowled over a couple of toys. At least the Breloom plushie cushioned his head.

"Ugh..." getting up, Cole let out a radar pulse. Stepping over a broken Doom action figure and a Palutena figurine, he drained a nearby Television set. Again, any injury he had was gone. "But how the hell did she throw me... Is it? The amp?"

"Hello!" Cole jumped and fired a bolt of lightning at the speaker. The white furred creature near him was hit but somehow survived. "There's no need to harm me. I'm only here to ask if do you think the girl over there has potential to be-"

With a gesture Cole summoned a barrier of ice right in front of him. The metal garbage can rebounded from the shield and into the creature cutting it off. At the same time it also broke a Sayaka figurine. The creature however survived, but was now clearly injured. With its red eyes it looked outside the prize shop just in time to see an entire section of the rollercoaster tracks heading towards them. Cole easily leaped away with an ice launch, letting the prize booth get destroyed. Looking down from the sky he spotted Misaka with one hand out.

Before he can drop, he suddenly found himself floating as if being lifted. Only to realize, the amp was lifting him up. A smart man would've gotten rid of the amp's strap to get away from their vulnerable position. Cole did that and moved to a thunder drop towards Misaka. The girl was clearly surprised but her railgun was ready. Only one would survive.

Or she could just pull herself away with magnetism to dodge the blast. Misaka pulled herself away at the last moment cancelling her attack to avoid the drop attack. Cole nearly went through the wooden floor but that section held firm. Although Misaka still stumbled from the distant shockwave, she was able to swing her hand down, and slam the amp onto Cole. But the conduit just shrugged it off and ran towards her, pulling out the wooden sword from before.

'I heard the sound of contact. Just what is this guy made of?' Misaka readied her sand sword and shield again. Only to be knocked back by a shockwave. And this time, she ended up floating on the air. "What the!?"

Of course a quick appliance of magnetism to her feet fixed that. But Cole was too close for comf- and another shockwave knocked her away. This time, crashing into the side of a ferris wheel. Cole was getting closer, and was forming icicles in the air? Instead of relying on magnetism or sand, Misaka instead summoned a burst of electricity forward. The shockwave that Cole tossed out still made her stumble, but the icicles that would've pierced her body were melted.

But Cole was still getting close. Too close for a railgun not to miss, but close enough to get interrupted by that shockwave. Her sand would get destabilized and she couldn't get a good grasp on a nearby metal to throw. She'll have to run. A blue orb impacted close to her legs. Her attempt to get away was halted by that orb freezing part of her legs. She couldn't get away!

No. She can't lose !

"Don't underestimate me!" Misaka screamed letting electricity fly everywhere. Compared to before, the amount being released was like a storm.

It took Cole by surprise. Even forcing him to put up a shield. It might be hot and dangerous but he was unharmed, and it was converted to energy for him by the cold cryo shield. He would've kept on recovering energy when he realizes the pier was starting to fall apart. Wooden floors breaking, small buildings catching on fire, and electricity running rampant. Even if he tried to drain the excess lightning, he's vulnerable to falling to the sea. He needed to get away. Or knock her out now.

While releasing energy, Misaka pulled out a coin. This did not go unnoticed by Cole, who lifted the katana he had with the Kinetic Pulse, and threw it forward. Unable to redirect it, Misaka chose to block it with one of the metal machines floating around her. And in a second, they sailed towards her opponent while she readied her railgun.

Only for all of them to make a return trip when Cole tossed another tornado. This time Misaka was slowly being caught onto it. Although she could see the electric signatures inside the vortex her attempt to halt it was countered by a stronger force. Cole was controlling the tornado and pushing it towards her, even steering it. Unable to take it out, Misaka was sucked into the tornado. But she had one more chance on this. Forming a metal shield around her just as she was pulled into it, she fired her railgun without flipping the coin.

It was quite a cool sight. Upside down and surrounded by a spherical metal shield about to shoot a railgun. It struck the stationary Cole by his side knocking him away. His influence on the tornado was gone, but the vortex continued to swirl.

Despite the attack hitting him Cole was already getting up. Compared to everything he felt so far, being hit by a railgun on the side was more painful than a faceful of shotgun shells. He looked back at Misaka who had just recovered in midair, his tornado vanishing. Again she was beginning to control the metallic objects nearby again. Not good. At least he's a bit farther-

CREAK

Oh. The ferris wheel was broken because of his tornado.

The entire ferris wheel was rolling towards him now. Its path was definitely influenced by Misaka. The amount of destruction it would do if it gets to the mainland... Good thing there was no one else around. Using his lightning tether, Cole pulled himself out of the wheel's path. Only to be hit in midair by a flying bump car. This time, it hurt a lot more compared to being hit by the train earlier. Even making his entire vision grey. Bright side? It nearly knocked him away back to the beach.

Cole continued to run away, not even bothering to absorb the energy from the nearby lamps as the pier collapsed.

Misaka's influence over lightning died down a little as she watched her opponent. He was too far to hit with a railgun. She should've tossed him back instead of hitting him with that bumper car. If only he had that metal weapon on his back to slow him down-

Wait a minute. Misaka turned back. A quick scan on her radar and she found what she needed. With a gesture, Cole's amp flew to her hands.

She smirked as she examined it.

"What did you call this again I wonder?" Misaka tossed the amp in front of her making it levitate with its end pointed forward. Then she pulled back her arm. "Special Delivery?"

As if charging energy for a bit, she suddenly punched forward screaming in the process. Her fist collided with the amp's hilt. The railgun-ized weapon shot forward like a railgun heading straight for Cole. Moving at a speed several leagues beyond sound.

Even Cole could hear her scream when she did that. Turning around, Cole only caught a glimpse of her punching something. And a quick realization on what she's punching.

"Shit!"

Cole formed a solid ice barrier in front of him. He even raised both Frost Shield and Polarity Wall. The three defenses didn't defend stand a chance against the amped up railgun. The railgun went through the shields only slowed down by a fraction and struck him through the torso. The attack lifted him off the ground and into a nearby building. With a loud explosion and a faint trail of electricity, the building began to crumble in itself.

Misaka could see her attack hit from here.

She smiled as she began to walk through the destroyed amusement park. She won. She didn't want to kill but in the end she had to.

But she still needed to pick up that body. She better go there and take his corpse to bring it to Academy City. Or what was left of it at least. Time to go home...

...

On that building, Cole's body remained. His shirt burnt off and his entire body still steaming from the injury. It was quite a surprise that his body was still intact.

Still steaming from the impact, the conduit remained there caught in all those debris...

Then it twitched.

People said lightning never strike the same place twice.

Those people never met these two yet.

...

AC/DC - Thunderstruck

There was a flash of lightning.

Misaka blinked. Multiple bolts of lightning were raining from the sky and into the destroyed building. For a good ten seconds the storm continued, before suddenly the rain of lightning ceased.

And a man was floating above. A man overflowing with electricity. Then it flew towards Misaka.

Misaka's look of shock vanished and was replaced by a look of pure anger.

"No more holding back."

Lunging with magnetism, Misaka quickly reached the beach. With a stomp on the ground, electricity was released and sand amassed in front of her. Forming a giant swirling mass of sand, this would've shredded anyone on the way. Its scattered mass wouldn't be easily blasted away.

Anyone that wasn't using a force field at least. Cole went through the sand storm having activated his Shields while using an electromagnetic shockwave. But Misaka sensed him and was already pulling out a railgun. Cole's shield faded just as his arm was raised at Misaka both glowing with white energy. They were both going to use all their energy in this one attack.

With both of them so close, there was no way for either to miss. It was on who can shoot faster. There was no time for defense, it's all or nothing.

...

A flash of light. And a trail of a beam travelled through the sky...

...

A figure slowly got up on the beach. Looking around in confusion, the figure's eyes then looked at their opponent nearby.

Approaching them, they sighed. Well, time to finish this. He drew out his gigawatt claws.

"Catch you later."

He stabbed the claws onto the body. He could see the blood spill, but it was time to put this girl out of commission. She could really kill someone... With a Kinetic Pulse, he tossed his opponent towards the sea. The ice block flew, and landed into the sunken ruins of the amusement park.

He needed a beer.

KO!

David: And that's a wrap. Surprisingly no lightning ending! But the storm is still an important factor. Hah!

Remi: Not every infamous ending has to be biblical or ending with a thunder you know.

David: Indeed! Well anyway some people would be angry but let me explain. This matchup is just like Andrew vs Delsin. Only this time, replace Andrew's absolute defense with capability to get around, and the perfect radar. While Delsin's natural mobility is replaced by tankiness and efficiency.

Remi: But we're going to have to explain a few more things than that.

David: But the main highlight? Is Cole's attacks. His powers are bound to hit you once because of the sheer diversity of all of it. They're all 'random cards' to be pulled into battle. A surprise shockwave, a surprise tornado to the face, homing rockets, stalking grenades, redirectable rockets, arcs of lightning, sudden shockwaves, an insta freeze attack, hell even a magnetized explosive pizza box!

David: Not to mention he can still try to get close and engage in a melee combat. Sure when it's long ranged, Misaka has it in the bag. But remember, anything goes in a Death Battle. Cole has fought enemies before while chasing them, confrontations up close, or running around them. Eventually they would have to get close to finish each other. In range Misaka might have the advantage, but at that position Cole can keep recharging.

Remi: Buuut David, what about Misaka causing a city wide blackout

David: Yes she can. But do you realize how that would be? We have multiple backup generators in cities. Not to mention there's still car batteries and such. Or Cole can just restart the power again too. That's a thing he does. But another key factor? Durability.

Remi: Here comes the glass cannon part.

David: Having looked up a lot of merchandises with Misaka, I found out one thing... Her durability is purely human. She could survive tumbling on the ground from falling off a car, but that's about it. Every other attack she received was either tanked by her shield or redirected. But with Cole's firepower, especially the vortex, she would be hit once by a lethal attack. Doesn't help that Cole's attacks can down civilians easily in one hit. While Cole on the other hand, survived a 6 city block explosion at his weaker times. He's only stronger from this point on.

Remi: Take note, conduits get stronger as time passes. While espers have it all up in their minds. So natural tank mage versus squishy hypercarry mage. Like Amumu and Katarina.

David: Don't bring terms that people won't understand! Anyway, point is, they'll take each other casually in the beginning. But when they get serious, well Cole's abilities will go through Misaka's.

Remi: Wait... What about her Transformation?

David: Well it is an external ability. It can count as a transformation due to circumstances kinda like Super Saiyan God, requiring help of others. Even if we use it here, we still have to acknowledge the above resul-

Remi: Wait, so you're not using it but you showed it off?

David: Are you an idiot? Of course I will use it...

To aru majutsu - Majo Kari no Ou

There was a storm gathering. That much Cole knew. But it wasn't this catastrophic as awhile ago. Only the girl seemed to have the capability to summon it since he's more of a 'create lightning with atmospheric conditions' type of guy. And the weather said there wasn't going to be a storm today, so could it be an effect from his fight with the girl-

SPLASH

"... Don't tell me," Cole turned around slowly. His overcharge long gone. "No... fucking... way..."

Misaka had levitated out of the waters. And she was now hovering a good distance above it. With wings. Wings that look like giant crystallized wings. And the girl has changed in appearance. Namely she now has a large antenna thing on her head. That could not be good. Slowly she levitated closer towards the beach. Cole only gritted his teeth, then lowered his hands.

"Time to end this," swinging his hands upwards, multiple ice spikes headed towards Misaka. But they didn't matter. The cold gust should be freezing her the moment it reached her-

"What." Cole flatly said when the ice attacks did nothing. Then Misaka raised her hand. A giant beam of energy shot out. Cole was struck and sent crashing into the streets. "Son of a- what the hell!?

Cole was barely up when he saw the beam. Rolling away Cole dodged the electric beam. The beam tore through the nearby cafe, destroying it easily. This was on a whole new level. But he`ll just have to get close and... a giant tsunami made of iron sand has formed. Cole gritted his teeth. His overcharge from the thunder storm was long gone. He needed to win now.

Emptying a car of its energy to heal his injury, Cole looked back and jumped towards the tsunami.

This time he activated Karmic Overcharge. His energy flowed with energy charging with electricity. Summoning multiple volleys of rockets, he continued to fire towards the sand tsunami. It didn't destroy it. Well that wasn't his plan anyway. Running towards the sand storm, he summoned his shield with one hand and launched a shockwave forward.

Cole did not go through it unharmed and received numerous wounds, but finally he was in front of Misaka. He didn't acknowledge the fact that she had multiple ribbon like things near her legs or that she wasn't even human anymore. This was like the Beast. He could feel it. He needed to end her, even without the RFI. Angrily he launched as much shockwaves as he can.

First Transformation

It didn't faze her at all. It was as if his attacks were being pushed away by some force he could feel. No blasts? Alright then. Activating his gigawatt claws, he ran forward pushing through the energy. And felt his skin being sheared apart. But Cole made it and plunged the claws into Misaka's body. Only to realize, his claws were gone.

Before he could react, the ribbons around Misaka's legs wrapped around him. It would've looked harmless, but to Cole it felt like being crushed by masses of energy. He even spat out blood.

"D-damn it!"

His arms pointed away and knowing that electricity would be useless on Misaka, he did the only thing he could. He drained the electricity around her. Electricity flowed inside him from everywhere, regenerating his body. But each second he did, blood gushed out from the wounds he already had. Wounds would form as fast as he could heal them. With no escape, this was the only thing he could do and it wasn't even harming Miaska.

He was stuck in a state of recovering and being ripped apart. Extremely painful. Was this what John felt?

It kept on like that. Misaka didn't do anything to him either, only keeping him there as he suffered. It felt like hours when it was only minutes.

Second Trasnformation

Either way, after that long process, the person that held Cole wasn't Misaka anymore. It was an embodiment of some energy that's not electric based.

The conduit couldn't acknowledge that. Instead he was noticing how the ribbons moved down to his legs, and constricted.

"GAH!" Cole screamed in pain as his legs were vaporized. Not broken, not shattered, vaporized. But in his state of recovery and decay, his legs were forming again.

Well not for long, the thing that was Misaka suddenly pulled back its arm. And with a quick motion, uppercutted Cole.

He flew. From the energy that was gathered in his body and the sheer power of the being from another realm, Cole flew up faster than the speed of sound. His entire body was turned into a bullet for a gun. A railgun. His screams faded as soon as he reached the stratosphere. His entire has destabilized from that much energy. So it was expected for his body to just melt away... the entire being of Cole MacGrath the hero has faded that day, with no remains.

Down below, the thing that was Misaka didn't even cheer. It only looked at the city as it approached. Then it paused, as if channeling something.

...

In a nearby ship, Zeke could only watch in horror. A girl with pigtails, Shirai Kuroko too watched with the same expression. They were already setting away from the island watching the final event.

"... so this was the real Beast Kessler was talking about,"

"Onee-sama..."

Then, there was another bright light. For a brief second, Zeke thought it could've been the Ray Sphere Blast, Then, as it reached everything around them...

There was nothing left of the city.

InFamous - Fade Away

KO.

David: So a pretty much assured win for Misaka. That transformation is as powerful as the Beast, maybe more.

Remi: How brutal! And shocking!  So umm, how does the Death Battle System work again? Does a world officially register the part where we soon lead the destruction of that planet?

David: I don't know Remi. But eiher way, there's no chance for victory for Cole if Misaka gets the chance to use the transformation. Key word 'If'.

Remi: But wait, so whose win does this end up?

David: ....

Remi: ....

David: A draw?

Remi: Or a win and a loss?

David: Sure. That's all for today guys! See you all next year! I mean month!

Remi: And don't forget to not give your resident hero coffee! Not even John!

Misaka

* Transformations guarantees victory if allowed
* Large amount of power allows her to keep going
* Mobility and defense oriented abilities protects her from getting damaged
= Radar and reactions are very useful for both
= Attacks are not just electricity based for both side
* Can survive or counter the majority of Misaka's attacks
* Can heal off the damage sustained too
* One or two good shots on Misaka can take her out
* Better in physical fights and attacks can be pulled out of nowhere

Cole

Next time...

A fight deep underwater. Two beings that are supposed to protect...

Beware the depths.
This is the third time in a row I end up with a close match. Sigh. I need to stop going on fights like these. So give me a break for being confused at the transformation. I did some research and that Level 6 completely destroys Misaka internally so that's not her anymore either way. But yeah, I'll fix this DB up ab it more later, enjoy for now!

I have to slow down... This is another long work from me

New Rules:
Don't give our superheroes coffee

Thanks to :icongokuvssuperman117: for that DB image

Death Battle Link: Not here yet

I don't own the contenders
Misaka Mikoto is from To aru Kagaku/Majutsu
Cole MacGrath is from InFamous
Remilia Scarlet is from Touhou Project
I however take full ownership of Nineball and David G. Yes, Nineball is indeed a girl

Oh yes, and you should notice the reference I put in above there. Prizes, TB, swords and stuff, even a dinosaur animatronic

I'm pretty sure Cole would win even with Misaka's transformations. He did beat the Beast after all and he is practically immune to Misaka's electricity. Besides Cole also has transformations. When he chooses to work with John. He gets the power of the Beast. Why is Misaka allowed her transformations but Cole isn't allowed his. This seems incredibly unfair.
